Progressive death metal pioneers OBSCURA are proud to announce the “The Sun Eater // Japan 2026” tour. With two performances scheduled in Tokyo, and additional shows in Nagoya, Osaka, and Hiroshima, the band will return to the Land of the Rising Sun in 2026 as part of Chapter IV of the A Sonication World Tour.
Joining OBSCURA on this run are U.S. progressive death metal visionaries Fallujah and French powerhouse Dvrk, rounding out an exceptional lineup for fans of technical and progressive extreme metal.
“We’re looking forward to performing for our loyal Japanese fans and spicing up the setlist with deep cuts we’ve never played live before,” says OBSCURA frontman Steffen Kummerer. “Japan has always been one of the most passionate places to perform, and we can’t wait to return.”
The tour supports the band’s latest studio album, A Sonication, released worldwide in 2025. With new material and a refreshed setlist, OBSCURA promises an unforgettable live experience for metal fans across Japan.
